| Gatehouse of Fleet is about 2
1/2 miles from Clauchan cottages. It has four hotels where
you can have lunch, or eat in the evening. The Murray Arms
Hotel at the clock tower, or the Masonic Arms just past the
Murray Arms and pets are welcome in the Masonic Arms. There
is also Galloway Country Style at the other end of the town,
which will not only provide you with a light lunch, but you
can also watch an exhibition of the history of the kilt and
see it being made. They also provide some lovely clothes and
gifts. |
